In a previous article i described how to get a flv file from google video. After that it is possible to convert it with super to an avi file. But there is an easier way to get directly an avi file.

1- Go to a movie on google video.

For example: http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=6739744715613910238

Hmm ok this is art  but it is in my opinion a little weird. Anyway it is kari wuhrer and it is nice anyway...

2- Now click on download, then select "Manually download the video"

3- Download the gvp file, since you can't read gvp file, you are supposed to install google's player at this moment. But there is a tip to download the video with the player.

4- Open the gvp file with notepad.  Inside you'll find 2 url:

the first is a link to the google video and the second is a link with the informations on the video

You need to copy this last url from the beginning to the end of the "secureurl"

It means this:

And you get a 34Mo video. With flv format you can notice in your cache that the video is only 14,4 Mo
